The term "Efie Wura" is also associated with the concept of the home, which is seen as the center of family life and a place of great importance in Akan culture. The home is believed to be a sacred space that should be treated with respect and care, and the Efie Wura is responsible for ensuring that the home is a place of harmony, peace, and prosperity. Also known as the lizard, are seen running on the walls of many Ghanaian homes. It was given the name because it normally spends more time on your house walls then you yourself.
Since the fourteenth century, Akan rulers have used elaborate displays of royal regalia (Agyapdie) to express their power and wealth, as well as to shield themselves from harm. We have erected this royal regalia in modern fashion while maintaining the style and techniques used to produce them that are centuries old.
We are Ghanaians and a black owned small business in love with our culture with a mission to share a piece of our heritage with the rest of the world.
