These are beautiful items for interior decor wall or center table displays alongside being functionally used.
Symbol Meaning
-
Asesedwa: A multi-proverbial message speaking to the nature of the stool. When carried out at festivals one bares it on his neck & head but is supported by two other people. Even though great responsibility may be assigned to one person. To see success is when that person is helped by others. Greatness doesn't come by one person's effort, it takes a village.
-
Nteaase: The making of FUFU, a traditional Akan dish, takes two to do. One lifts up the cane to pound the cassava, the other flips and molds it into a ready to eat ball. Teamwork is needed if everyone wants to eat.
-
Nkyinkyim: Proverbial as the Akans are, this piece speaks to the ups & downs of life and how they are so interconnected. Both aspects are needed in order to appreciate and respect the other. This particular piece is dual sided, with a different facial expression on both sides.
Once your order is complete, we ship worldwide for free from Ghana using DHL. Shipping with DHL which normally takes 3 -5 Business days.
Since the fourteenth century, Akan rulers have used elaborate displays of royal regalia (Agyapdie) to express their power and wealth, as well as to shield themselves from harm. We have erected this royal regalia in modern fashion while maintaining the style and techniques used to produce them that are centuries old.
